Madelyn Walter is a Law Clerk at McCleery Law Firm, where she combines a passion for advocacy with a genuine desire to serve others. Having recently completed law school and sat for the bar exam, she is gaining hands-on legal experience while awaiting bar admission.
Madelyn earned her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Brigham Young University before receiving her Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School. Her interest in the legal profession was driven by a desire to help individuals in underserved communities navigate complex legal challenges, particularly in the area of criminal law. She believes everyone deserves access to knowledgeable legal guidance, regardless of their circumstances.
Before pursuing law, Madelyn spent time teaching English in Mexico and China, an experience she considers one of her proudest accomplishments. Living and working abroad strengthened her communication skills, broadened her perspective, and reinforced her passion for helping people from all walks of life.
At McCleery Law Firm, Madelyn enjoys meeting new clients, listening to their concerns, and helping them find practical solutions to real-life problems. She values the opportunity to learn from experienced attorneys while making a meaningful contribution to the firm’s mission of serving the community.
Outside of work, Madelyn enjoys boxing, sewing, playing the piano, and reading. She lives with her boyfriend and their three cats, who keep life entertaining at home.
