Kyla Hickman is a Law Clerk at McCleery Law Firm, where she combines a passion for legal research, writing, and advocacy with a genuine desire to help clients through life’s challenges. She recently completed law school and, after sitting for the bar exam, began her legal career with McCleery Law Firm.
Kyla earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati before receiving her Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton School of Law. One of her proudest accomplishments was completing law school while raising her newborn son, a testament to her determination, resilience, and work ethic.
As a Law Clerk, Kyla enjoys the intellectual challenge of researching legal issues and helping attorneys develop effective strategies for their clients. She appreciates the structured nature of the legal process and finds fulfillment in contributing to solutions that help people navigate difficult circumstances with confidence.
Outside of the office, Kyla is an avid reader and book collector who rarely passes up the opportunity to add another title to her shelves. She also enjoys crocheting and spending time with her partner, Brendan, their young son, and their five cats.
