Attorney At Law
“How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant of the weak and the wrong. Sometime in life you will have been all of these.”– George Washington Carver.
Chrishana’s interest in law started at a young age. She was a curious girl, often seeking the wisdom of a grouchy old man, aka her grandfather. Growing up spending time with her grandparents in their struggling, small town mom-and-pop business, she was exposed to all types of people from various socio-economic and educational backgrounds. In all those years, she recalls being consistently reminded of the need for kindness and understanding, no matter the situation.
Chrishana received her law degree after graduating cum laude from the Northern Kentucky University Chase College of Law. In her undergraduate experience, she was a cum laude graduate of Shawnee State University with a double major in the fields of legal studies and psychology. It is her firm belief that in order to be a truly successful attorney, one must be able to apply an understanding of human emotion and experience as much as a solid understanding of the law.
Born and raised in a small town in southern Ohio, she has spent the last twenty years there, raising her family and upon obtaining her license to practice law. She served that same community both in private practice and as a former assistant prosecutor. She has previously served as the Adams County Bar Association President, and her primary practice areas include probate, real estate, family and juvenile law, including abuse, neglect and dependency cases and misdemeanor criminal law. She has both personal and professional knowledge of the workings of the Department of Developmental Disabilities and joins McCleery Law Firm with a strong desire to expand her legal knowledge and to keep serving those who need it most.
She prides herself in being able to connect with her clients and make them feel comfortable as she assists them in navigating the legal process during the most trying moments of their lives.
Chrishana and her husband have recently relocated to the Tuscarawas area and she brings with her a genuine love of people, nature, and travel. When she is not hard at work, she enjoys exploring the nooks and crannies of our vast universe with her husband and spoiling their many nieces and nephews.
